Mr. Brennan’s passionate engagement with policy and the environment was nurtured as a student. Before starting his own law firm, he learned the ropes in various other forums, including growth at several law firms. He then opened the doors of the Brennan Law Firm, in Cranbury, NJ, serving as principal of the three-attorney firm since 1996. Mr. Brennan’s substantial experience encompasses a range of complex commercial litigation, including: contractual disputes, commercial leases, real estate, land use disputes, partnership and shareholder disputes, business law, insurance coverage issues, and employment law. Mr. Brennan is also an experienced environmental litigator, having both prosecuted and defended hundreds of complex environmental matters, particularly those related to cleanup cost recovery and insurance coverage. Mr. Brennan has a wealth of experience handling complex real estate transactions including the purchase, sale, financing and leasing of commercial and industrial properties, particularly those involving environmental issues. He also has extensive experience in representing clients in the petroleum industry, and serves as Counsel to the NJGCA (New Jersey Gasoline-Convenience-Automotive Association). A detailed list of his areas of practice and regulatory affairs at the state level can be found below. A frequent speaker on legal issues, Mr. Brennan keeps his fingers on the pulse of the legal world by being a dynamic leader in many different capacities. A detailed list of his memberships and affiliations can be found below. An Eagle Scout, Mr. Brennan serves as an Assistant Scoutmaster with Boy Scout Troop 52. He also serves on the Finance and Planning Committee for his church, and has coached quite a few youth sports teams. On weekends you might find him plying his boat through the salt marshes of the Barnegat Bay, grilling up fresh seafood and Jersey corn with his wife, two grown children and their not-so-grown Brittany Spaniels, or tooling around historic Cranbury in his ’48 Chevy Pickup.
